Formed in mid-2012, LUNG have graced some of Melbourne’s finest venues and stages, alongside some very talented, up and coming acts. This band sounds like they have been playing music together much longer than a year. LUNG is more than ready for the big stage, with their hallmark, wall of sound ROCK.

The band draws on a wide range of influences, but permeating the sound most prominently is the alt-metal genius of Tool. Further comparisons have been made to Tomahawk when describing LUNG's rhythm section and powerful, aggressive style.

In July 2013 the band headed to Sing Sing South studios under the guidance of Dan Murtagh, to produce their debut EP ‘Parasympathy.’ The EP consists of five very unique & individual sounding tracks that show off various sides to LUNG, yet the EP as a whole feels very congruent and focused. Final touches and mastering were handled by Ted Jensen from New York’s Sterling Sound, with outstanding results.

It is LUNG’s live show that captivates audiences, very quickly the bar room chatter is silenced once the first chords are struck. The powerful rhythm section of Jeremy Buswell and Jarrod Kelly provides the foundation from which Brett Burnell and Wayne Falzon weave effortlessly between their guitar riffs and melodies. With such a huge sonic landscape already at work, you’d be forgiven if you thought there wouldn’t be any more to add. Front man Liam Burke is what you add when there is seemingly nothing else. With a voice that cuts through the monotony of the current Rock landscape and a guttural scream that has to be from another planet…LUNG forces audiences to take notice.
