"CD Reivew: Lunglust - Demo"

Hailing from the Mecca of hardcore and punk music, a magical place which is called Boston, Lunglust has released their very first self-released MCD. The album contains four powerful tracks which immediately make me wonder why I haven't heard of this band before. - CW Review

"Show: Motherboar, Gozu, Lo-Pan, and Lunglust"

Lunglust bring hardcore sensibilities to their metal, piling machine gun riffs, atom bomb drums and chainsaw bass lines on top of hellfire vocals. - Boston Band Crush

"Live Review: Doomriders, Sweet Cobra, Ramming Speed, and Lunglust"

Hometown openers LUNGLUST came on stage first. They play a tight amalgam of punk rock, hardcore and metal. All their songs are fairly short and to the point and played with a lot of fire. I really like vocalist Jeff Sykes stage presence and screaming delivery. The entire band was actually very good, intense and take performing seriously which I like. The best songs from them were “Broken Idol” and “Silent Hymn”. They were done too soon and I will be checking them out again soon. - Metal Army

"KEN Mode Slugs it Out on the Road"

LUNGLUST brings the abrasive hardcore and thrash with out of the box riffs and textures that put them on the level with the headliner. Their songs are short bursts of aggression that really get a room moving too. - Metal Army

Demo and Split w/ Western Syndrome

Feeling a bit camera shy

Lunglust is a five-piece band located in Boston whose style has been described as dirty hardcore with its dissonant guitar chords, driving bass lines, and technical drumming fronted by throaty vocals.
The band's first effort was a four-song demo recorded by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios in June 2010. The lineup consisted of current members: Jeff Sykes (vocals), Eric Lee (guitar) and Eric Kelling (guitar). A short time after the release, Lunglust saw the addition of two new members, Devin Charette on bass and Nate Dress on drums. With a steady line-up finally in place, Lunglust was able to solidify as a band, intent on making their presence felt. Hard work quickly presented great opportunities for the band, who found themselves opening for the likes of Doomriders, Clouds, KEN mode, The Red Chord, Trap Them, and 27. The band has recently worked with Benny Grotto at Mad Oak Studios to record two new songs, Arrows and Heir of Nine, for a split with Western Syndrome. Witch Trial Records will be releasing this split on November 15th, 2011.
