"Demo Review - Indie Rock"

The song, "George Vs. the World" It sounds like a cross between That's What You Get, and Ween, which are two of the best bands in the world from my perspective. Low Fidelity scratchy guitars, noisy ambient vocal overdubs, and just not enough of them to hear in this one song, so i check out "Cynical Idealist" which was a lighter acoustic guitar oriented Conner Oberst-esque vocals and makes you tingle in all the right places. Luppen goes for broke, and has the potential to sell you scabs as beef jerkey, and you wouldn't even know the differnce. If innovative lo-fi rock floats your boat, welcome Luppen aboard your life.

Bio

Luppen has been making music for thirty some years, inspired by the likes of John Lennon and Elvis Costello. He began recording on a four track casette deck around 1980. Audiences in his native Kansas didn't have a clue how to take him, often responding with stunned silence. He now lives in the even more backwater state of Nebraska and only works in his home studio. A lonely existance that fuels his distain of all things conservative. Described by his friends as an alcholic, egocentric, leftist computer geek.
