Christy Hobin

Christy Hobin has been writing songs for just over a decade. She grew up singing, and got started soloing in the church where she was raised. After school she learned how to play the guitar and immediately started writing. She spent 2 1/2 years living abroad in the country of Romania where she met and played with a phenomenal group of musicians. She recorded her first album in 2000 in Romania, with Romanian pop-stars and sang regularly at a local pub in Timisoara.
It wasn't until Christy returned to the states after her international experiences that she was driven to write more and get her music to the people. She started to actively pursue recording an album and getting gigs in the Seacoast of NH where she lives. Around this time Shawn Roussin contacted Christy and said he was looking to get involved with backing a singer songwriter. The search started for other members of the band. Mark Sciascia was found next, and finally Reid Johnson in the summer of 2007, completing 'Luscious Digs'. At present Christy plays regular solo shows all over NH and the band, with a handful of gigs under their belt is rehearsing regularly to start to prepare for a bright future playing all over New England.
