"Lux Lisbon are damn fine....they are quickly becoming favourites here" - BBC 6 Music

"Lux Lisbon prove Rawk still exists" - Camden Crawl 2011

Lux Lisbon are, quite simply, the band that Wings could have been.

Lux Lisbon are a 5 piece indie-rock band who met (and recorded their recent debut album 'Your Heart Is A Weapon The Size Of Your Fist) in Nottingham.

This year they have played Camden Crawl and Dot to Dot festival (where they played to a packed Bodega Social) and have the Blogs quietly buzzing with talk of "easily one of the best albums all year" and "sweeping, cinematic, cavernous indie-rock, with melodies that have stadium stamped all over them"

"Their live shows are a real treat, with evidence of particular attention to detail and effort in the video shorts and other visuals that accompany their show on a variety of projectors and television screens. It is distinctly refreshing to see a new band with the ambition to already be thinking in terms of their live presentation in larger venues, which is, it has to be said, where a sound like theirs is at most at home"

LASTEST SINGLE - BULLINGDON CLUB

http://vimeo.com/35486840
http://luxlisbon.com/track/bullingdon-club

The song was written within days of the London riots in August 2011 and recorded under a railway arch where the band rehearse literally metres from Clapham Junction, so like, yeah, a totally topical taste (sort of).

Latest single Bullingdon Club has a hilarious video - It's been featured on Tom Robinson's show as well as his 'Xmas Christmas mixtape special of 'musical hightlights from the past four years' and Nick Roberts' at BBC Radio Newcastle as well as featured as gig of the day and playlisted by Georgie Rogers at Amazing.

Written within days of the London riots in August 2011 and recorded under a railway arch where the band rehearse in Clapham Junction, literally metres from Lavender Hill.

"exactly the kind of politically-charged song you’d expect to come out of a year as turbulent as 2011....a musical nod to Bruce Springsteen from our old friends Lux Lisbon, any opinion implied are those of the band and not necessarily those of the BBC or its employees" - Tom Robinson – BBC 6 Music

"A bit of politics ladies and gentleman" - Nick Roberts - BBC Introducing @ BBC Newcastle

"I'd say go on down and see them live, be sure to check Lux Lisbon out" Georgie Rogers BBC 6 Music/Artist Gig of the day@AmazingRadio

"Fantastic track...really like what they are doing, reminds me of an English Gaslight Anthem at times" - Charlie Ashcroft (Artrocker/This Is Fake DIY/Amazing Radio).

"a favourite of the year....4 minutes of joy" goingundergroundisentertainment.com

"the resultant concoction constituted by Maccabees, Sound Of Guns-style epicness, and some vocal collision between The Datsuns and Les Incompetents" - Killingmoonlimited Trackoftheday

P.S - if this hold any interest at all for you, these will be our next 2 singles - Your Heart Is A Weapon The Size Of Your Fist - http://tinyurl.com/6oydqkz and Animals (http://luxlisbon.com/track/animals)
