One of the five nominees for Best Rock Album is the venezuelan band Luz Verde for their record "El Final Del Mundo Vol. II: Nada Es Imposible"; they will compete against Bunbury ("Palosanto"), Doctor Krápula ("Ama-Zonas"), Don Tetto ("Don Tetto") and Molotov ("Agua Maldita"). - El Universal
"Luz Verde has a consistent vision of the rock music they play...One of the more important things about the band is their live show, their energy and connection as a band, a bond that can hypnotize their audience... this album defines that live mystic. The structures of their songs can make you feel their stories, and there is an obvious amount of work on their choruses..." - www.globovision.com
Un disco como mínimo sorprendente. Emotivo a la par que canalla, seduciendo con temas de los que todos deseamos hablar y que sólo ellos saben cómo hacerlo de una forma distinta.
- Paula Rodríguez Martín

Bio
We released our sixth album in 2014, EL FINAL DEL MUNDO VOL. 2: NADA ES IMPOSIBLE thru MUSIC HIT FACTORY label... and we just got nominated for a LATIN GRAMMY for BEST ROCK ALBUM. So... what happened since 1995?
We got together and inmediately started gigging and writing music. Our first demo got radio airplay in Caracas and we found ourselves playing virtually everywhere. Three years later we released an EP that completely sold out, and that's how we financed our first album... CINEMA CERO (2000). We made the first videoclip with stop motion technique in Venezuela for "Todo Está Bien", and won a SOL DORADO award as "Best Rock Group".
Three years later we released ROCANROL, and decided to move to Spain in 2004. We sold more than 2000 copies just on gigs, because we didn't hava a label in Spain. That record got 4 out of 5 stars in the latin edition of Rolling Stone Magazine. The spanish edition also reviewed us after we had the number 1 indie rock spanish myspace site.
We started to get influenced by different kinds of music in the cultural melting pot that is Barcelona and wrote 40 songs for our third album, and 14 of them made their way to MANUAL DE BUENAS COSTUMBRES (2008) released by MUSIC HIT FACTORY. That record was produced by produced by Roger Rodes (Macaco). The single “Luna de Papel”, goes into 40 Principales Catalunya's playlist. The video clip goes into MTV España programming and stays into MTV Hot chart for 8 weeks. They play a couple of "Conciertos 40".In Venezuela MANUAL DE BUENAS COSTUMBRES is a hit, 5 singles off the record are played in radio and they do 3 nationwide tours. In 2009 the record is considered as one of the 10 most influential venezuelan records of the decade.
Then came our fourth album, EN LLAMAS, 2010. Produced by Rodes, mastered por Chris Athens and released by ANEWLABEL, we got to release 8 singles off that album, 5 are top10 hits in the pop charts. Because of that, there are 3 venezuelan and one mexican tours to promote it. In Spain, the band open shows for legendary metal band LOS SUAVES and tour around the country and play the single CENANDO CON EL DIABLO on national tv networks TVE and LA SEXTA, closing the season of the famous talk show BUENAFUENTE (the spanish Leno) in june 2011.
In 2012 we released EL FINAL DEL MUNDO VOL. I, recorded in just three and released by LaProduktiva. AL BORDE, first single, got to 3 in Circuito Mega and 1 in Hot 94 FM (venezuelan radio stations). "Un Clavo Saca Otro Clavo" and "Lluvia" go also into the Top10.
We tour Spain and Venezuela to celebrate our 18 years in june 2013. And thats how we got to EL FINAL DEL MUNDO VOL. 2: NADA ES IMPOSIBLE (2014). The first single, "Humo Dorado", got to Top 7 in Circuito Mega charts... and we got that Latin Grammy nomination...
Not bad for four guys that got together just to play some rock and roll...
