Lvis Mejía was born in 1985 in Mexico City. ?Studied Philosophy in the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and he is completing now the second degree in Fine Arts and Time Based Media at the University of fine arts of Hamburg.
As a contemporary musician and multimedia artist, his works take on multiple forms such as audiovisual concerts or screening, music performances, diverse installations, sound design, net art, video and film. ?His work has been exhibited widely, both at home and abroad.
Mejía composes time based media that could be probably considered as an heterogeneous mixture of different digital generated structures, analogue engines, a variety of acoustic instruments, selected field recordings and the most essential contiguity where thoughts, aesthetics, emotions and art converge and blossom.
Obsessed to serve Art as autopoietic and unique instance, Mejía defends vehemently the idiosyncratic idea of reaching "Absolutism" trough art itself.
This as the procedure´s aim. An all-embracing art form.
Minimalism and complexity coexist there.
