Bio
LX started as 'doubleplusgood' in albuquerque around 2004 with beatboxing over a 505. riley was drumming for cherry tempo and the coma recovery (june records, featherspines) until he learned how computers worked. LX and doubleplusgood became a sampler of beats, strange sounds, and cryptic lyrics by 2007 when he released a lo-fi experiment called The Tribe of the Lost Pigeon. the response pushed him and his unwitting throng of collaborators into one concept after another. albums about lost ghosts, electronic forays into dance and the spirit of manchester with one concept in mind: "do what you feel all the time no matter what." treay and him met at the halcyon in austin. another starving artist/musician. only treay was much better at singing than riley so they made a pact.
