Lydell Lucky

It is always nice to happen upon new talent in the Hip-Hop industry and it is even better to be able to introduce that new talent to readers. So meet Lydell Lucky, a unique up-and-coming rapper from Dallas, Texas. Lydell started off his career in the underground circuit and around 2009 started receiving heavy media play with his single "Here We Go." In an attempt to be taken more seriously as a southern rapper, Lucky goes out of his way to stand out. He describes his music as a universal blend of Rap, R&B, and Rock. Also, he does not curse or discuss the topics of violence or drug dealing. He feels those three subjects only bring the quality of music down and hurt the younger listeners, due to their negative connotations. Lucky has developed quite the fan base and pushed some impressive units for an underground rapper. And having survived numerous trials and tribulations, he is determined to keep pushing forward on his Hip-Hop journey. His hope for the future is to acquire a major record deal and take his career to that ultimate next level.
