Biography

Bursting onto the NZ music scene with her self-titled debut E.P, Lydia Hollister-Jones is a welcome addition to Kiwi ears. Lydia has already begun making a name for herself in New Zealand and abroad.

Hollister-Jones has performed extensively around New Zealand at various community and performing arts events and functions, some of which include Taste of the Bay, Global Poverty Project and Parachute music festival.

With her E.P. reaching number one on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts and peaking at number nine on the NZ/AUS iTunes album charts in April last year, Lydia has proven that her blend of lively lyrics and memorable melodies is exactly what listeners want. Her music video for Let's Make Daisy Chains hit 2000 views in less than two weeks and has had interest from TV, it's also brought in a massive influx of new fans.

Rehearsing with a full band, she hopes to bring a fresher fuller sound to her music for upcoming gigs. Studying popular music at Auckland Uni this year has given great cause for many great songs to be written. Lydia hopes to record and release a single in time for summer 12/13 and is excited to let loose new music into the world.
