Bio
Lydia wrote her first song at age 6 ("Why's the Sky Blue?") and her house was always filled with music. She learned how to harmonize by singing along to The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and The Mamas and Papas with her parents and siblings. She started college as a Music & Composition major and somehow ended up with a Journalism degree. She didn't actually pick up a guitar until her early 20s, and once she learned a few chords, there was no turning back. She's been performing in New York and Seattle, writing songs and jamming with friends for the last 12 years. She's currently in a band called Unicorn Republic in Seattle.
Musical influences include: Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin, The Be Good Tanyas, Brandi Carlile, Kathleen Edwards.
