Lynda McLaughlin

BandPopAcoustic

Strong energy, fun, and in tune, no pun intended. ;) There is a bond that happens on stage between band members that elevates the music & transmits to the audience.

Biography

We are a father/daughter team or duo with the help of a great percussionist. We play acoustically and it has been amazing. I guess the fact that there is a father/daughter element to this band also makes us a little different. We split the difference on the range of influences from the Beatles to Sarah MacLachlan. We're different because we don't pretend to be like everyone else or anyone else. We're just two people out to make a great music and share great music.

Lyrics

Matters Most

Written By: Lynda and Donn McLaughlin

Verse:
So what's the story
The fairytale of your life
What can you tell me
Did you uncover the mountain
Climb to the top
Stand on the edge and then say
I gotta keep looking up
Chorus:
Ah, you don't need no one to show you the way
And, ah, I want you to go don't expect you to stay.
Verse:
So take a seat now
or haven't you learned yet
Only small voices stand
Your silence is golden
Your words are true
They carry a message stronger
THan any book ever knew
Chorus:
Ah, You don't need no one to show you the way
And, ah, I want you to go
Don't expect you to stay
Bridge:
The road unwinds for those whose want to travel
The seas will part for those who want to cross
Your eyes will close when you want to see so much more
Standing still will be your biggest loss
Verse:
So watch the sunset
Stare at the moon
Sit on the grass
Chorus:
Ah, you don't need no one to show you the way
And, ah, I want you to go don't expect you to stay.
Spoken word under chorus:
So what's the story
The fairytale of your life
What can you tell me
Did you uncover the mountain
Climb to the top
Stand on the edge and then say
I gotta keep looking up
