"Lynn King... unconditional CD review"

Lynn King
"Unconditional"
Genre: country
reviewed by Mel Goldsipe

Lynn King has one of those big, big sounds that demand attention. King’s full, throaty voice is well matched by her excellent band, and both are flexible enough to cover a range of songs, keeping “Unconditional” interesting from beginning to end. Most songs are twangy folk-rock, with a singer-songwriter sound here and a little Southwest hand drum there. Some of the simpler songs could be hits for pop-country artists like Faith Hill or Shania Twain, but the lyrics are best on story songs like “Old Man Carothers.” Regardless of style, her voice and the band’s sound are pitch-perfect at all times.

I am a realistic minded person and fully understand the effort and attitude it takes to succeed -Lynn

There are a great many singer-songwriters out there, but few who manage to perform the music with this much passion, precision and depth.

"Just like every songwriter, I am intensely interested in having a well known artist cut one of my songs."

If talent and perseverance are all that's needed, Lynn King won't have long to wait.
Lynn has toured the US and Internationally as well.

Now back in the States, King went to Ireland for a few selective shows with Ireland´s current number one artist Mickey Harte in Dublin and Cork. General consensus from reviewers is: "Where did this great songwriter come from?" All the more impressive, since getting any approval regarding a live performance in Ireland is a formidable task. All venues eagerly await her return.

Lynn King also toured in Detroit/ Windsor Canada at the Freedom Festival, opening for Tom Cochran
and Sass Jordon.

Hailing from the Philadelphia area, King has headlined many famous Nashville Venues such as The Blue Bird Cafe and The Boardwalk. During her time in Nashville she won the coveted Vocalist competion at The Nashville Palace. Her songwriting talents awarded her a prestigous invite to perform for the late Great songwriter Harlan Howard at his well known birthday bash.

Lynn enjoys performing and recording regularly, and her powerful and poignant music is known for its ability to capture an audience and keep them prisoner until the last note. "In my heart," King says,"I love the electricity of the live performance and pride myself on my live shows. It is important to be equal to the CD or better. In fact, better is what I strive for."

Lynn currenly has several of her tunes in the broadjam.com top 10. She is currently seeking radio airplay worldwide and hopes to hook up as an opening act for an established or up and coming artist this spring.
