Music is believed to be a universal language that bonds all corners of the world. It shows our unique and special beliefs through vocals and instruments. LTH (LyricallyTwistedHarmony) is not a rap group or a hip hop trio, they are simply music in all universal aspects. From a small but prosperous city of Fort Worth, Texas LTH demonstrates their talents in local clubs and some major hot spots in Dallas, TX. The Trio consist of three artist, Slim Grim (David Evans), Peripheral (Gerry Walker), and Smooth D (Dennis Evans). Mainly from a city where dance music rules such as the “Ricky Bobby” and “Stanky Leg” jigs, LTH approach their music in a different way such as rock, hip hop, and R&B. Despite being in this group in an early three years it is heard in their mix tapes, and upcoming album “PsychoHisteria” the differentiation of their sound compared to other artist even in the industry. Locals rave how commercial LTH’s style is and how they have a rising following as they pursue this musical exploration. Meet the Members of LTH Dennis Evans (Smooth D) and David Evans (Slim Grim) was raised in the eastside of the city of Fort Worth, TX. Originally an artist at drawing Grim found an appetite for a musical passion in his 10th grade of High School. His brother Dennis Evans (Smooth D) inspired a motivation for his young brother by holding studio sessions for various neighborhood rappers in trouble with the law every weekend. They believed keeping their peers off the street through something positive is a great reward. Starting off they used a standard microphone and an RCA to record tracks. “It was horrible quality but it built a sense of getting your stuff down in one go.” says Smooth D. Slim Grim says, ”Us being from the projects it was fairly hard to afford the kind of shit that professionals used unless u hustled your money.” Smooth D and Slim Grim day job was at the DFW airport, and found their third member of LTH Gerry Walker aka Peripheral. Artists Smooth D and Slim Grim upgraded their studio finally affording the Pro Tools 6.9 L.E, and wanted to give it a go on a new artist. He saw that Peripheral was natural raw talent and invited him into his studio. Peripheral explains,” Man, me being from New Orleans, nobody from Texas was showin me love ya heard me, and for Grim and Smooth to welcome me into his home and showing no prejudice on where I’m from was cool man. I don’t acknowledge Smooth and Grim as my friends, they are my brothers. Music inspired this group in so many ways and their troubles, trials, and tribulations encouraged all three to do what they do. Grim says,” I see a lot of n****s rappin, but they all sound the same. They wanna get rich quick and don’t understand the real reward.” Slim Grim and Smooth D father passed away in the summer of 2003, and their spirit was crushed, morale was low, and giving up seemed inevitable. Peripheral grew up in the streets of 3rd ward New Orleans, where crime, theft, gangs, and severe murders was a way of life. Although the negative surrounded Peripheral and he was raised by a single mother, he never stunted his growth in his capability for music. “Slangin is what got the bills paid.” Mentioned Slim Grim. “ Despite everything I seen in the streets you know, watching my friend Abram head get blown off, and Champaign getting murdered in Cali, I still press on for them and myself. “ Smooth D explains. Although LTH have had their share of tragedies, upsets, and sorrow, all three artist look up and press forward. The Work LTH is a growing group and respected by most artists in their area. From group to group they have expressed their loyalty, and seriousness to what they do. Like stated earlier, the group came together and existed for 3 1/2 year duration, but was also together two years before. Peripheral, Slim Grim, and Smooth D were altogether in an eight man group called “Rowdy Boyz”. The group was high in number, egos flurried, and treachery was abusing friendships. So the three artists broke away from Rowdy Boyz and found CEO of an Indie Label, “Diamond Glazed Records”, Giovanni R. who enjoyed the style of music they brought to the table. “I was raised in Dallas, TX, I have seen the styles bounce from Chopped and Screwed to this new dance stuff, but the artist I manage in LTH ARE ARTIST!!! You can come down to Texas and listen for yourself, and hear all the local crap they play on the radio, and then hear LTH, these guys are the ones who will drop platinum on top of platinum.” stated Giovanni. Although LTH have never signed a contract or been on tour they have done many shows throughout Texas and one in Memphis, TN. All three members still reside in the Fort Worth area and their hunger for more fame, music, and passion excels with every passing day. The Music LTH is born for making the sound that every race, and gender would want to hear. LTH have launched three mi
