Lystrialle

Lystrialle is an independent music composer, producer, and lyricist, specializing in avant-garde music toeing the lines of neofolk. Laying between the lines of traditional fantasy and modern electronica, her work embodies an anything-goes attitude – “we take the good things about nostalgia and combine it with the beauty of the future.” Under her own personal brand, stella azurea – Latin for “azure star” – she aims to create an atmosphere blended between fantasy and future, with the goal of carving out a unique niche not quite like anything heard before.

In addition to her own work in music, she is also well-known as an advocate for independent creatives, and is responsible for a number of non-profit charity projects meant to provide opportunities and support for young musicians and artists. As a humanities enthusiast, particularly in the realm of linguistics and musicology, she is constantly active in international fellowship between Western and East Asian independent music communities, and is a leader in efforts to connect cross-cultural independent communities and encourage mutual support and growth. Currently, her activities extensively involve efforts to combine the modern convenience and connectivity of Internet-based Western independent music communities with the East Asian independent market’s heavy emphasis on physical memorabilia and product production.
