Unheard Voices has the chance to find upcoming artists who are not only cultivating their way through the music industry but making a difference while doing it. In an industry that is so rough our goal is to find talented artists that often go under represented in an industry that praises mainstream success. This month we would like to introduce M. Maggie.

M. Maggie is a poet and songwriter based out of the big apple, NYC. M. Maggie caught my attention with her soul inspiring music and catchy lyrics to go long with it. She says growing up around New Orleans influenced a mix of Soul, Blues and Jazz is what is undeniably incorporated in each piece she writes. Behind the scenes of her music, M. Maggie also plays the violin and piano and is the lead singer of the Soul-Pop band MARYMAC.

From playful Pop to vibey R&B and Neo soul, M Maggie brings catchy, conscious-driven lyrics with an energy that is sure to ignite your soul. Get to know M. Maggie below:

"Official Premier: M. Maggie "Did it for U" (prod. by Lucian)"

M. Maggie has seen a lot of success recently working with fellow New York artist Black Coast, and their three collaborative efforts have ushered in hundreds of thousands of plays and equally impressive praise for them both. Now, however, Maggie’s going down the solo route as most great artists eventually do, and, to do that, she’s dropping off the first track from her upcoming Vienna Genesis EP today.

The new track, produced by HD-featured artist Lucian, absolutely oozes style throughout, and the wavering cadence that Maggie provides is one that’s equally captivating and cool. She’s assisted with a well-paced production by the mentioned individual, and she’s able to dance atop it with ease, casting poetry in a sort of rapid-fire manner that crosses the line impressively between pop, hip-hop, and even a little bit of R&B. It’s a highly remarkable first-time offering from the artist, however you want to categorize the offering, and it should do wonders for engendering excitement for all forthcoming work that she has to share. - Taylor Rummel © 2015 Hillydilly Media Inc.

"New Music! Black Coast feat M Maggie – ‘Enough’"

We don't know a huge amount about M Maggie or Black Coast. We could copy some stuff off their social media profiles or copy and paste bits from other blogs but that's a waste of our time and an insult to the intelligence of you, the Popjustice reader.

Instead we will just say a few words about this breezy, insanely charismatic and mildly Taylorswiftesque pop tune, and those few words are:

1. This
2. Is
3. Really
4. Enjoyable

We're giving this song 8/10. - © 2000-2015, Popjustice Ltd

"Stream M. Maggie’s new dark pop single “Did It For U (Prod. Lucian)”"

Known for her dark pop dreaminess on NYC producer Black Coast’s tracks, M. Maggie shows her sexy side on her latest single “Did It For U”. The first track off her Vienna Genesis EP shows much promise for the young New York vocalist. Produced by Lucian, known for his recent Remmi collab “Bobby K”, “Did It For U” has a deeply hot bassline, balancing the soft ease of Maggie’s soulful pop vocals. M. Maggie is definitely the next eletropop songstress to swoon over and with producers like Black Coast and Lucian, there’s no telling what magical dark pop she’ll be making. - COPYRIGHT © 2015 UNRECORDED.

"M. MAGGIE – DID IT FOR U"

Wow. I think I’m in love. New York singer/songwriter, M. Maggie may have just stole my heart with this new beautifully crafted track. Produced by Lucian, “Did It For U” is the songstress’ first solo release, and let me be the first to say, this shit is fire. The equivalent to 140 characters worth of fire emojis. If you have any taste in good music at all, you will undoubtedly fall in love with this track after first listen. - DAILY CHIEFERS | EST. '10 | PREMIUM GOODS
