Macaque's sound is a unique blend of pop sensibilities, noise, textures and the histories and mysteries of urban music. Sweet melodies wind over deep bass and stylish beat structures.
When Macaque plays out, high energy kinetics are encouraged as there is no better elixer than that of the mighty rump shake. Sincerity and tom-foolery are virtues held dear by Macaque.
Macaque has had successul shows at venues such as Cakeshop, nyc and Monkey Town in Brooklyn. They plan on performing in Chicago and Philadelphia this summer.
Despite their shenanigans, Macaque is serious about creating and performing music, sisters doing it for themselves, and growing as a band.
