Bio

Machine Empire is an Active Hard Rock Band based out of Los Angeles, California. The group is comprised of Michael “MT” Letsinger (Vocals), Nik “Nikolazzi” Olsen (LeadGuitar), Kevin “KJ” Hicklin (Rhythm Guitar), Frank Mullis (Bass) & Anton Peterson(Drums). The group took inception in January of 2010.

With melodic, hook laden songs, arena driven anthems, blistering guitar solos, bone crushing riffs, & primal percussive grooves; Machine Empire’s music is an equivalent of an audio pipe bomb. The chemistry of Machine Empire’s members conjures legendary
spirits of Rock & Roll to create a multi-faceted, power packed style of Hard Rock destined for the ears of the masses.

The no-nonsense, do it yourself attitude of Machine Empire saw the group self-recording and self-producing the band’s first EP “Framework” the second the band was created in the early months of 2010. The sweat of their efforts would see vindication when the group came into contact with veteran music industry producer, James “Jimbo” Barton,(Eric Clapton, KISS, Metallica). Barton was quick to take the reigns and use his mastery of mixing to bring Machine Empire’s first effort to form. Barton adds, "Machine Empire's music is Innovative And Fresh." Machine Empire has truly broken new ground with its EP “Framework.”

“Our mission is to reach every individual we can through our music,” states vocalist M T. “Whether we are on a big bill with well known bands or a small club gig, it’s an unspoken understanding between each of us in the band to give everything we have inside, for the eyes and ears that are on us the moment we take the stage.” Upon viewing a Machine Empire live show, it is evident each member has done their homework in live performance. The band has already achieved notable performances with national & international acts such as Rock Icon, Slash (featuring Fergie of Black Eyed Peas & Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge), Smashing Pumpkins, Common, Kid Cudi, L.A. Guns as well as landing a slot on the 2010 Sunset Strip Music Festival.

In July of 2010, FUSE music television announced that it would be airing a music news talk show featuring blink-182 Bassist Mark Hoppus titled ‘A Different Spin.’ A casting call was put out for bands and songwriters to write the title theme song for the new
show. Shortly after the audition, Machine Empire was notified by FUSE Producers that they had been chosen from 600+ acts to author a title track for ‘A Different Spin's’ Youtube commercial campaign. “This gig for FUSE and Mark was all about the right song for the show and it’s a huge milestone for us because we’ve always put so much emphasis on improving and evolving our songwriting from day one when we started Machine Empire” states guitarist KJ.

Machine Empire has also documented their musical journey through an unparalleled documentary titled, “From Drought to Flood” produced and directed by Mithun Gangopadhyay & Karen Bullis. “We’re so thankful to have had this chance to do the
film with Mithun & Karen,” says drummer Anton Peterson. “A lot of people associate only good times and partying with playing in a rock band and this documentary shows not only how hard we work as a unit, but also how much sacrifice and focus it takes to be in a band from Los Angeles.”

Machine Empire has begun their journey to bring their music to the global masses. So the question has to be asked, what does the groundbreaking EP “Framework”, do it yourself attitude, action packed live shows, and a documentary “From Drought to Flood” all add up to for Machine Empire? “There’s only one thing this all adds up to in our minds,” states lead guitarist Nikolazzi: “and that is 100% Pure American Hard Rock.”
