"Mad Atoms Explode with Pop Funk Prowess on 'Ready To Go!""

MAD ATOMS EXPLODE WITH POP FUNK PROWESS ON ‘READY TO GO’
Posted on 5th June 2020

LA-based funk outfit Mad Atoms have released their catchy new track ‘Ready To Go’.

If palm muted funk and foot stomping bass notes are up your alley, Mad Atoms might just have something for you with their latest release ‘Ready To Go’. There’s nothing out of the ordinary here, but the simplicity in this track is what funk is all about sometimes: just a good time. Mad Atoms’ style of funk is draped in an old school sound and ‘Ready to Go’ helps epitomise their carefree and happy approach to music.

‘Ready To Go’ hits its highest notes when it comes to an earworm of a hook that will keep you humming it for a long time – and the guitar work on this track is simple but very tuned in to what this style of record needs. Definitely check out ‘Ready to Go’ if you’re into modern funk with a poppy, carefree approach.

"Mad Atoms Bring The Funk To The Rock Show With Debut"

‘Mad Atoms’ Out Now

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, California – May 20, 2020 – With almost a dozen tracks, Mad Atoms’ self-titled debut encapsulates a heavy dose of the rock and roll spirit, funk intentions, and a California vibe that gives way to an undeniable listening experience for all.

From the press of play, Mad Atoms sets the bar high as “Undeniable” rocks it out right out of the gate while John Bragg’s vocals deliver a sultry, powerhouse performance. What’s great about this record is that it’s far from one note. One second you’re rocking out to one well-crafted original like “Fly” or “twenty4seven,” and the next you’re surprised by the sentimental ways of songs like “Madison Road” and “Perfect World.” That balance, along with the funk of songs like “Ready To Go!” allows audiences to never get bored when listening either on record or live. This well-crafted debut album explodes with energy and emotion from start to finish.

Jamming together since 2015, the fearsome foursome that makes up Mad Atoms have managed to build a solid foundation for themselves in the local SoCal music scene. They’ve spent the past five years headlining and opening for the likes of Gin Blossoms, John Waite, and Dishwalla. To date, they’ve played some of the hottest spots including The Canyon at The Rose. They had plans to add even more venues to their list with the release of ‘Mad Atoms’ in Spring 2020, but the current COVID-19 situation caused them to reschedule for a later date. Keep an eye out to see when they’ll be back on stage at places like The Mint LA. Always working on new music, these songwriting maestros are already tracking a 12-song follow up album to be released in late 2020.

"Share Pro Review"

YAY! Rocking, funky, real instruments, great groove with multiple syncopation/breaks... and horns. What's not to love? Lead vocal kicks with just enough of a rough quality to give it some balls, yet not scratchy which would give it too much of a raw quality for the lyric and vibe. Chorus/hook is something that would work well in a lot of film/TV scenes and I'd say very ad or trailer friendly. Well done, guys. Hit me up if you would like some contacts for avenues to pitch your stuff for projects." - Gael MacGregor

Bio

Mad Atoms self-titled debut album: With eleven songs spanning their catalog from the first 5 years, this one has a bit of everything, from straight up rock with Undeniable or twenty4seven, to pop-rock ballads like Bold Love, to Funk-Rock selections like Ready To Go! or Madison Road, which are more of what the band has been crafting of late. Perfect World is an introspective song of breaking down walls that takes you on a ride with a variety of musical landscapes, ending in an epic outro. Let's Go Baby builds to an energetic JAM, but put your seatbelt on. It's slammin! SLOW JAM is a story told through instrument with a familiar progression. From songs of heartbreak, like She's Gone and Fly, to home hitting patriotic America, this album will take you on a fun ride filled with Mad Atoms energy all built upon life inspired lyrics the band hopes will resonate.
