Bio

Mada is a four piece, post-rock band based in New Orleans. Combining elements of indie rock, alternative rock, and post-punk revival, the band is defined by powerful technical guitar melodies, introspective lyrics and explosive percussion. MADA experiments with folding non-typical time signatures into a tightly laced pop structure. The band's influences range from classic acts such as Jeff Buckley and Pinback to contemporary acts like Miniature Tigers and Wolf Parade.

Originally called THE SEA THE SEA, after the famous Iris Murdoch novel, the band was founded in 2009 by former DENVER IN DALLAS guitarist Adam Delnegro and former SUPAGROUP member Travis Stewart.
The group began as a recording project for Adam's acoustic songs. When Travis Stewart was brought in to produce, the band began to grow. Bass player, Jonathan Talbot, from BASTARD SON OF A BASTARD SON joined the band soon after. The three then began an arduous, year-long audition process to find the perfect drummer- former 12 GAUGE VALENTINE member, Michael Watson.

In 2012, Mada released their debut-LP, "Alone Against Tomorrow." The album is available on iTunes and other digital venues on their independent label Evil Sea Records.
