The story of Madaux is not the typical tale of your average Alternative rock artist. Hailing from the dust of government subsidized farmland in the heart of the Midwest, the purple haired poet had a reputation of marching to the beat of her own drum. Madaux was raised in a pure country upbringing, where she rode horses and sang at county fairs. However, the country life felt like the life others wanted her to live. She dared to be different, to find herself, and share the songs she had written in her favorite Dragon Ball Z notebook, yet she soon was met with adversity. She did not fit the mold.
Following her sense of discontent and an urge to let her voice be heard, Madaux picked up and made a new home in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon arrival, she quickly turned heads with her powerful voice, unique writing style, awkward charm, and lyrical honesty.
Madaux embodies the alternative rock genre's raw and snarky attitude. She has created a sound that is forward thinking yet harkens back to the great artists who originally pioneered the post-grunge movement.
Her debut single, "Little Miss Pretender" is now available for download and streaming. More music is set to be released throughout the remainder of 2016.
So, for all those who color outside the lines, who make a stand, who only tell it how it is, and who are looking for a battle cry, Madaux is your voice.
