"MAD AVE. BOYS – Raw But Thoroughly Processed"

"Two weeks ago, I met the MAD AVE BOYS at Pop Burger on 14th St. and 9th Ave. for an interview. I attended the MBK Entertainment Showcase earlier that evening at the Highline Ballroom, so I only had to walk a couple blocks over. As I approached the burger joint, I immediately noticed Roman (drums) in his black hipster outfit and Riv’s (lead singer) bleached blonde hair. They definitely stood out among the bridge and tunnel coterie who were ready to “beat the beat” outside. The guys were clearly exhausted from rehearsal. A sign of their passion and dedication to their music. Roman looked like he just ran 30 laps while Riv was excited to check out the venue for their anniversary party on March 27th. They introduced me to the rest of the band: Charlie (keys), Lucas (guitarist), Develop (producer), and Shape (manager). We hung out and drank at Pop Burger for about 30 minutes. Not an ideal place for an interview but I made it work."
