MFS was formed in early 1986 as a two piece country blues act. After growing to five members, they played Wichita and the surrounding area for almost ten years. In the mid 90s MFS decided to pursue different projects. (Sticky Reeds, Gravy From the Hip, Mistaken Identity, Strange, The Buddy Holley Show, Swing Daddies, to name a few).
MFS was re-united to play at the 2002 Chautauqua Hills Blues Festival. "It felt just like old times, We had so much fun we decided we better keep Made From Scratch alive!"
Winners of the 2005 Wichita Blues Society Blues Challenge, MFS will represent The WBS at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis January 26-28 2006.
