Bio

Tony Lacava was born in California, moved to Pa. and started studying and playing guitar at the age of five. His early influences range to include classical music, pop, and Motown. Studying the history of rock n roll lead him to appreciate such groups as the Beatles, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix and Santana. Upon moving to No. Va. in 1979, he immersed himself into the music scene joining the group "Revival" performing mostly Southern rock covers as front man and singer. After a guitar playing stint in an original D.C. band called "Scarface", Tony formed his own cover and original band called "The Taste" which played No. Va. venues for 5 yrs. before moving to Fredericksburg, Va. Working again as a front man, and singing for "Steel Dice", a local blues based cover band, he established himself in the local circuit before being asked to join "The Southern Rain Band" for his guitar playing abilities. His playing grew when he crossed over into more melodic mix of traditional and modern country, and where on more than one occasion, he enjoyed sharing a stage with legendary Country Music Hall of Fame pedal steel player, Buddy Charleton. Later he formed "By Design" playing the music of the circuit for private weddings and corporate functions for seven years before completely changing lineups, taking on the name of "Made in the USA" and returning to the Classic Rock music that was prevalent during the 70's. Through out all of this, Tony's love of the blues has remained evident in his playing and singing styles as he has adopted many influences from the likes of guitar phenom Michael Harrington, Ritchie Blackmore, Roy Buchanon, and Danny Gatton.

Chris Bryant is a lifelong drummer originally from New York. He played with Steel Railz, which branched out to become Off Track, a Waynesboro, VA band. He relocated to King George, VA, and has played with area bands in Fredericksburg and Richmond for the last 6 years... Chris is happy to finally have found found a home that fits! He enjoys a variety of different music genres, including country, classic rock, blues, funk, and jazz.

Bruce Andrew has played piano since the age of eight. Classically trained, his early influences include Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms, thanks to a father who eagerly shared his love of serious music. Bruce's tastes later expanded to encompass Scott Joplin's ragtime and traditional rock. He is an aficionado of everything Beatles and considers Billy Joel the paragon of rock-'n'-roll virtuosity on the keys.

D. Lawrence Barksdale is a lifelong musician who began playing bass at the tender age of 14, and played in a garage band off and on during his teen years. Currently a CTO for an educational technology firm, he enjoys playing for the sheer joy of staying in touch with his classic rock roots. Having been raised in a very musical home (father was a Ph.D. in music), he plays 7 different instruments, and enjoys a wide diversity of music from classical to country to classic rock.
