Madeleine Davis

Madeleine Davis

Straight-ahead Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Latin, and Sophisticated Blues.

Madeleine's been quite successful in the pop music genre working with Boney M, Rick Astley, Penny McLean, Abi Ofarim, Englebert Humperdinck, and many other European pop stars. She's also worked with Klaus Doldinger, Bobby Stern, and Jason "Malletman" Taylor. She's loved jazz all her life and have been influenced by Rebecca Parris, Betty Carter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and many others. Got stuck in pop music, so now she's coming out of her jazz closet! Other info about Madeleine can be found at Wikipedia, and her official website

Singles released by La Mama and Boney M include "Lady Marmalade", "I'll Be Your Woman", "Shape Up", Mad For Dancing, "Everybody Wants To Dance Like Josephine Baker", and many others. A release of "In A Gadda Da Vida", recorded with Boney M over 20 years ago was released in August 2007 on Sony/BMG. See Madeleine's Wikipedia listing. A long-awaited solo jazz project is underway on the SoCo Jazz-on-the-River Indie Label, Madeleine's own label.
