Madeline Luongo

Madeline Luongo is a Singer/Songwriter from Malverne, NY. At the age of 20, she has managed to find her sound as an artist and artfully display that through her songwriting.  At a young age, Madeline showed a strong interest in music, beginning piano lessons at the age of 4. She recalls , " I have always been writing, so early on that  I can remember scribbling out lyrics on construction paper with broken crayons. At that age, they weren't anything great, but that was my start. I just didn't realize that i wanted to pursue songwriting until much later." Madeline had early dreams of becoming a flutist, after picking up the flute at the age of 9. During her senior year of high school, while preparing to audition for different music colleges with the flute, she had sustained a wrist injury that changed the course of her future. After realizing she would no longer be able to play the flute due to the injury, Madeline refocused her energy into pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter. " When I look back on that time, although it seemed devastating to give up something I had worked so hard for, it was actually a blessing that guided me to shift my focus onto songwriting and performing, and that is what I truly believe I was meant to do and I am grateful to be doing today."  She took original material she had been writing through out her teenage years and picked up the guitar to accompany herself as she began playing local shows on Long Island. After getting a great response from shows and her original material, she was inspired to continue and build her repertoire as a performer and songwriter. Madeline is working on her first full length album that she is excited about releasing in the future.
