What I want most in this world is to sing, just simply sing. And I figure if the world is willing to listen, maybe even sing along, I would have it made. For the past three years I have been completely in love with singing and songwriting. I put my heart and soul into every song I write, pulling from real experiences and real emotions. I am not faithful to any one genre but I like to describe my music as an infusion of pop, country, folk, and jazz sounds. My goal as an artist is to make you smil

Traded Me In For Her

Written By: Madison Alexis

Love, you know you hurt me
You left me hanging on a thin, thin line
Dancing on the wire
Trying to get you to look my way one last time
Now I’m bruising but you ain’t seeing
All the tears that I’ve been crying
Baby, don’t say you’re trying

You could of had me inside your arms instead of her
If only you would have said those words
And I won’t stand here begging
My heart won’t be breaking
Just know, you traded me in for her

Love, I’m not gonna be upset
Cause I’ve been upset long enough to know
That you, you’re not changing
Your ways to be here like I need you to
Oh how the years go by
Just a little while ago you were mine, mine

You could of had me inside your arms instead of her
If only you would have said those words
And I won’t stand here begging
My heart won’t be breaking
Just know, you traded me in for her

Love, I hope you miss me
I hope you think about me every night
Don’t bother calling when she leaves you
Cause you know you can’t make this right

It’s too late to have me inside your arms cause you’ve got her
So don’t you come here saying your words
I won’t stand here begging
My heart won’t be breaking anymore, anymore, anymore
You traded me in for her
You traded me in for her, oh

Chicago Can Wait

Written By: Madison Alexis Whitehead

Sunny days are here again
It’s been so long since I’ve felt the sun on my skin
You’ve always been my summer breeze
In the middle of the winter
Oh how I’ve missed ya

Is it too late
To tell you that I love you
And that I need you
Not to move away
Chicago can wait

As soon as you land you’ll call
To tell me you made it home
But you’re so far from here
I just need you to hear me say
Baby, I miss you already

The rain it falls hard when you’re gone
It seems all I can do is write this song
About what you do to me
It feels so wrong
What will it take to get you here to stay
Dallas seems so far away

As soon as you land, you’ll call
To tell me you made it home
But you’re so far from here
I just need you to hear me say
Baby, I miss you already

And this town don’t feel the same
Without you to call my name
And the streets that I walk
Don’t talk back like you did, like you did

As soon as you land, you’ll call
To tell me you made it home
But you’re so far from here
I just need you to hear me say baby

Is it too late
To tell you that I love you
And that I need you
Not to move away

Is it too late
To tell you that I love you
And that I need you
Not to move away
Chicago can wait

Livin' It Up

Written By: Madison Alexis Whitehead

Everybody says that I’m risking it all
Trying to fall for somebody like you
But that’s just what I am trying to do
But I’m going make you fall to

Cause we don’t have to stay for too long
Everybody’s been wrong about us
Sometimes things just end up perfect
No need to adjust it
It’s just love

And we’re living it up
We’re living it up
We’re living it up, it up, it up
We’re living it up

Time keeps on going faster
But life is a disaster when you’re keeping time
Two, three, four
And the days go by without us knowing
Which way we’re going
But that’s alright

Cause we don’t have to stay for too long
Everybody’s been wrong about us
Sometimes things just end up perfect
No need to adjust it
It’s just love

And we’re living it up
We’re living it up
We’re living it up, it up, it up
We’re living it up

Let me tell it to ya
We got a good thing going on
Love is what I’m feeling
So I’m gonna sing my song, aye

Let me tell it to ya
We got a good thing going on
Love is what I’m feeling
So I’m gonna sing my, sing my song yeah, oh

Cause we don’t have to stay for too long
Everybody’s been wrong about us
Sometimes things just end up perfect
No need to adjust it
It’s just love

And we’re living it up
We’re living it up
We’re living it up, it up, it up
We’re living it up

And we’re living it up
We’re living it up
We’re living it up, it up, it up
We’re living it up, yeah

Tonight

Written By: Madison Alexis Whitehead

There you are, here I am
In this world, touching hands
Can’t believe you are mine
Can’t believe this is our time

Let us dance, let us love
Let our hearts beat as one
Hold your breath, take it in
This is it, you’re the one

Cause I found love in you tonight
I found love in you tonight, tonight

Now I’m sure of what I know
As I watch you take the floor
Hold me close, don’t let this go
I love you more and more

Cause I found love in you tonight
I found love in you tonight, tonight

I found love in you, found love in you
I found love in you, found love in you tonight

I found love in you, love in you tonight
I found love in you, love in you

I will never leave your side
Walk with me day and night
Take my life in your hands
Take my dreams and my plans

Cause I found love in you tonight
I found love in you, love in you
I found love in you, found love in you
I found love in you, found love in you tonight

I found love in you, love in you tonight
I found love in you, love in you tonight
