More on the band
Layo DS (Leonardo De Socio) Vocals, Rhythm Guitar: Layo’s unique, signature hard-rock-influenced vocal range gives Madison and Fifth a distinct sound. His lyrics are relatable to a wide variety of audiences along with powerful melodies and catchy hooks. His simplistic melodic-jive rhythmic guitar playing sits well within the mix of guitar players amongst the band.

Johnny 5 (John Licari) Vocals, Piano, Rhythm Guitar: Johnny’s exposure to different genres of music allows him to “think outside the box” during the writing process of songs. His intricate piano playing and acoustic guitar writing talents have allowed him to be the driving force behind MN5th’s fresh – new aged - unique sound. Johnny’s emo-style vocals serve as a nice compliment to Layo’s raspy aggressive vocal tones.

Etto - Lead guitar: Etto’s axe man guitar playing abilities compliment Johnny’s acoustic tempos and Layo’s simple jives. Etto can transform a simple chord structure into a series of captivating riffs that serve as a layered blanket over the rhythm guitar section of Johnny and Layo. Etto’s capability of writing melodic lead guitar licks has brought back an element which has been sorely missed in modern music for years – the ability to “tell a story” through a complimentary guitar solo.

Jimbo (James Hillock) Bass guitar: Jimbo can listen to a rhythm guitar section of a particular song and decipher a unique place for himself within the mix – at the same time – he will not stray away from the songs back beat section. Jimbo’s unique combination of blues, jazz and hard rock scales has given MN5th a groovy flow throughout their songs.

Carlo P (Carlo Polanza) Drums: Carlo P’s drumming sound is the foundation and the dynamic energy behind each Madison and Fifth song. Carlo P’s drumming has served as a loud, powerful and solid base for Madison and Fifth. Carlo’s metal-bashing influenced fills, along with Jimbo’s bass playing abilities, acts as a tight combination for a crisp beat-rhythm section.

History of the Band
The story of how Madison and Fifth was formed is a combination of coincidence, timing and destiny. All 5 members were born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. They had similar upbringings, attended the same high school and all had an undeniable passion for music. Throughout the years, collaborations with local bands had left them feeling unfulfilled and uninspired. In the winter of 2008, Etto approached his cousin John with the idea of forming a band. After a few initial jams, they were determined to find other musicians to collaborate with. Their friend, Layo DS, was asked to come out – and from that point riffs, ideas, melodies and song structures were being produced and drawn up. The embodiment of 3 different guitar styles and sounds made one unique sound – and that was the sound of MN5th. What began as 3 friends hanging out eventually turned into productive writing sessions and once the missing pieces (Carlo P and Jimbo) were added to the mix – the rest was history. Once all 5 members played together and began collaborating there was an undeniable chemistry that separated it from any of their previous projects. Each member looked at each other and knew that they

The Fight

The Fight

My strength and composure
Aids acceptance and closure
Its helped me through the fall
Its helped me through it all
And its hard to see things clearly
When your broken down and feeling
Like a weight is on your mind
Well it’s so hard to

Why me? - What did I do?
This cannot be - What should I do?

You won’t take my life away - gonna live another day
Even if its hard to breathe - gonna make it over this
Everything is crashing down - gonna make it over now
An ending in sight, I refuse to lose the fight

My paranoia and panic
With a headspace so static
A shiver - a cold sweat
Leaves a confused mindset
Internal vengeance
Denial, ignorance
With anger and hatred
And a fate not yet stated

Why me? - What did I do?
This cannot be - What should I do?

You won’t take my life away - gonna live another day
Even if its hard to breathe - gonna make it over this
Everything is crashing down - gonna make it over now
An ending in sight, I refuse to lose the fight

Wo-uhh-oohh-oohh-ohhh

Laveny

“LAVENY”

Up and down – the mountain roads
The pretty girls – big dreamin’ goals
And the sun…. we’re having fun
Enjoy the game…. we’ll play along
And the lights - and emotions
All the stars – and commotion
City skies – with the mansions
All along – takin’ chances
We breathe the air – and feelin’ fine
The Pacific coast - the ocean side
Here we go with our friends
We’ll be back again

In and out – holdin’ it down
After it all – it’s comin’ round
All the fun… we are the ones
We feel it all… the sights and sounds
Sunsets – at the rainbow
Stompin’ grounds – for our heroes
A home – seems so long
In a place – where we belong
We breathe the air – and feelin’ fine
The Pacific coast - the ocean side
Here we go with our friends
We’ll be back again

Enjoy the scene – we take it all in
Over a few - with our eyes in
There we were nearing the end
Coming home… coming home again

Worth the Wait

Worth the Wait (Irresistible)

Every night
The search is hard to find
In my mind
Every line
Of these words from my soul
Are so hard
To define
Love the moments we have shared
Now and then
Without a care
No where else I’d rather be than here with you
Time will shape our fate – you’re well worth the wait

Irresistible
I’ve been waiting since long ago
You’re Irresistible
Make me high - with those eyes – hypnotize – can’t describe
What you do to me
You’re Irresistible

Minds eye…
Will keep searching for somethin’ I can’t understand it myself
But, then I try
There’s no other place - I would want to embrace – all I ask
Is for a sign
Two lost souls from before happiness in store
You and me
To set us free
No where else I’d rather be than here with you
Time will shape our fate – you’re well worth the wait

Irresistible
I’ve been waiting since long ago
You’re Irresistible
Make me high - with those eyes – hypnotize – can’t describe
What you do to me
You’re Irresistible

Perfect Storm

Written By: Madison and Fifth

Hello and welcome to the show - You are not the only one alone
When we scream and beg for more - We make a perfect storm
But I can’t take this anymore
You know I won’t compensate - I wanna just conversate I will not make a mistake
Plz take me with you - And we make a perfect storm
But I can’t take this anymore
And I want - your hurricane
The earth will shake - my pouring rain
And I can’t - explain

What would you do? - If I told u I
We’d be – Such a mystery
And I leave it up to you
Cuz I’m so torn
Cuz you and me – we’ll make a perfect storm

Don’t be naïve let’s take it slow - We electrify we’re in the zone
Never felt this way before - When we make a perfect storm
But I can’t take this anymore
You know I won’t hesitate - A spell I can’t seem to shake - Come here before it’s too late
Let me take you with me - And we make a perfect storm
But I can’t take this anymore
And I want - your hurricane
The earth will shake - my pouring rain
And I can’t - explain

What would you do? - If I told u I
We’d be – Such a mystery
And I leave it up to you
Cuz I’m so torn
Cuz you and me – we’ll make a perfect storm

BRIDGE/RAP
Yeah girl – I bet you never knew
The way u flaunt it – now I want it – how I’m feeling you
Hey girl – it’s me – now - can’t you see
You mislead - hard to read – ur my fantasy
Can - you feel - the tension?
Lovin’ - and a takin’ – and a shakin’ and a heartbreakin’
Feel so warm – I make it pop - Just like
The perfect storm…

Haii-iiahh…iiahhh… uhh-uhh x4

What would you do? - If I told u I
We’d be – Such a mystery
And I leave it up to you
Cuz I’m so torn
Cuz you and me – we’ll make a perfect storm – a perfect storm
