Mad Moon members come from all over the country, united by a common denominator ... college! We all have since graduated, but the love for music endures on! Starting out as an acoustic trio, Mad Moon really honed down its vocals and instrumentation. Over the past 6 months, we have added Scotty on bass, and Sam on Drums. This pushed Mad Moon to the next level of greatness, since many of our original songs were written for a full band. Now we have been playing around downtown Orlando, Sanford, UCF, and other great venues around the Metro-Orlando area.
What makes Mad Moon different than your average band, is our music. It does have that "top 40" sound, but with out the bubble gum pop b.s. !!! Our band derives from so many different backgrounds, and therefore we have a lot of musical infulences like Jimmi Hendrix, Captain Beyond, Sublime, John Mayer, Umphrey's McGee, Stevie Ray Vaughn, DMB, The Toadies, and much much more!!!
Mad Moon is also coming out with a comic book that is going to be included with our EP. A close friend to the band will be putting together a fictional story about how we the band were stuck on mad moon, or something like that. But seriously, how many cd's have you bought that come with a comic book?!?!
