Born in the swamps of Florida, Mad Sexual Genius
offers a sweet, sticky blend of hip-hop, soul, R&B and
funk (think Stevie Wonder meets The Roots).
MC/singer Orign, is known worldwide in the hiphop
underground for his musical and artistic collaborations
with such legends as Prince Po of Organized
Konfusion, Killah Priest of Wu Tang Clan, and Vast
Aire of Cannibal Ox.
The band also boasts trumpet player/keyboardist Matt
McCarthy (Sam Rivers Rivbea Orchestra),
saxophonist/flautist Jonathan Cestero (the
Supervillians), guitarist John Krasula, bassist Greg
Jungbluth (Kaleigh Baker), and drummer/MC Nik
Ritchie (also known as King Koopa).
After dropping their first EP in September 2011, Mad
Sexual Genius has become one of the top-played
local bands on WPRK 91.5 fm and has brought their
exciting live show to some of Central Florida’s finest
venues including the Plaza Live and Hard Rock Live.
They are currently recording their next project.
