Born on the Eastern shores of the great state of Maryland, Blacqsax spent much of his childhood traveling with his father, who was a professional drummer.
His love of music was evident early as he would sit in with any musicians he could find. His early teen years were spent in Philadelphia where he began to master the flute and the saxophone.
His first gig took him back home toMaryland, where he performed with a band from Maryland State College called the Vibertones. It was at this venue where he met the late great Clarence Clemmons. After playing with Mr. Clemmons for a short time, Blacqsax knew that he wanted to make a living playing music.
At the ripe old age of 15, he headed west toLong Beach,CA. While attending Poly High School during the day, he would play the Jazz club circuit at night.
Upon graduation, he got a job playing with Ms. Etta James.
Blacqsax, then was hired to record, play, and travel internationally with Mr. Buddy Miles.
After traveling worldwide for several years, he returned home and began performing in Las Vegas with Nanette Barberra.
Always looking to play with the best, Blacqsax then joined with The Great One Mr. Johnny Hammon.
Blacqsax then returned to his roots on the Jazz circuit, playing with various artists such as Ms. Thelma Houston at her Poly Hall of Fame induction ceremony and Percilla Coolidge.

2012 is sure to bring about many great musical endeavors for Blacqsax as he is in the studio working on his Album. Keep checking back to be treated to an absolute feast of great music!

Jimmy Roach has over 35 years of experience and a very comprehensive back round in all areas of music. He is a 9 time platinum Guitarist and producer. Mr. Roachs Professional expertise has led him to play for many prominent Artist over the years such as Bobby Womack, Cecil Womack, Mary Wells, Ike Turner, Red Fox and Linda Cook Womack. Mr. Roach has also produced many hit songs for renouned recording artist Snoop Dogg.
