Bio

At this point in Maggie’s career, which to date has spanned more than 40 years, Maggie’s vocals are as warm and fresh as ever. An accomplished singer and songwriter with successes internationally she says of recording her first album of cover songs “Ditto” Songs For Alexander- “It was such a pleasure, I would love to do it again”. “Ditto” was recorded during September/October 2010 with Roberto Merlini at ADM studios and mastered by Paul Blakey at 12th & Vine Post.

Maggie’s new 12 track CD album “Ditto” ‘Songs For Alexander’ which was originally intended as a private collection only, is Maggie returning to her musical roots. Maggie learned her craft with some wonderful jazz players in her hometown of Geelong and this grounding gave her a great appreciation for exceptional songwriters and musicians.

Here on her new release you’ll find some of Maggie’s favorite Jazz standards delivered with a smooth elegance and sophistication, including:

This Masquerade, Cry Me A River, The Very Thought of You, Good Morning Heartache, Straighten Up and Fly Right, The Man I Love and the Billie Holiday classic God Bless The Child.

“Ditto” is an album to listen to with your feet up and a glass of red in your hand”
