Bio
Indie-folk-rockers, Magic Magic burst through seemingly breezy vocal harmonies with szforzandos and choirs of instruments. Boston native, John F. Murphy cites themes of distance and time as muses for his craft. At the age of 19, Murphy boasts several self-released albums and an upcoming full length on Mushpot Records. Appropriately so, songs start off simple and intimate with simple acoustic guitar accompaniment but crescendo to climactic celebration with gentle yet orchestra-strong percussion and echoing harmonies. Murphy believes that his musical memoirs bear a reflexive quality that aim to prevent the harm that occurs when the interiors of ones mind are shared en masse. Delicate and free flowing songs challenge traditional structure with pure honesty, youth and magic.
