Mainline are breaking out of their cocoon with a crackin' EP ready for the world to share. After a amazing year of discovery, 3 producers later, travelling the world and jamming in studio you can now listen to 3 featured tracks - tell us what you think! Loads more on

Mainline are back…after a manic year that was 2005 playing in London, Manchester, New York, L.A, Austin/Texas (and many more less exotic places), touring with Ian Brown, supporting Primal Scream, playing at Bud Rising, Oxegen and Wireless festival in Hyde park. That year they also released their debut single on Loog records and everyone loved it including NME, Q mag, XFM, Radio 1, Hot Press, 2 FM and many more, EA sports snapped it up for a licence on a game…the single is now sold out and deleted. An amazing year by all accounts but the band had other ideas than to jump on the musical merry go round right away, they wanted to redefine their sound/songs and prepare as much of their own album as possible.

The Dublin six piece cooled the jets for 2006 on the live front to focus on writing and recording for a year with the odd show to try out some new songs and ideas, this included recording stints in Dublin, Belfast, Brighton, London and lastly Philly, USA where they spent the last 3 months in the company and under of the guide of Billy Nicgorski and the Cobb brothers.

Together the team have nailed an original and simple sound that suits the rock epic so well, recorded entirely on tape machines and analogue gear, it rocks out. The new songs show more depth to the band and have moved away from bands that they are often associated or compared with (much as this is flattering to be compared to some great bands), in short it’s the sound of Mainline now.

2007 saw us tour across Ireland and the UK which included supporting BRMC following the release of our EP where the ghosts meet. Now its time to get our debut album together, currently in roughs - expect it in 2008!
