Still working on that hot first release.

Major Major are quickly gaining a reputation as being the best live act around. A band with a DIY ethic, they have recently taken their music to the streets of Liverpool and North West and are becoming identified as the Busking Band. Tired of the current trend of “synth” dominated music in the charts, Major Major have taken it upon themselves to revive the dwindling formula of vocals, guitar, bass and drums to prove that music can be big, catchy and interesting without the need to fill it out with sounds from the 80s! And although that type of music does have its place, it is not for them.

Conor Clarke, Neil Owen, Louis Cooper and James Knight are an all singing, all chanting musical explosion with a show as lively and exciting as the rock shows of the 60’s and 70’s without the unnecessarily long twiddly nonsense! Their DIY busking ethic comes across in the live show, not restricting themselves to a stage but getting the crowd involved, and jumping out creating a real spectacle for everyone watching.

When you get down to it, Major Major are music lovers and have no shame or need to leave out any of their influences. They like Hip Hop, they like rock, Conor even like musicals! They go with what feels right and sounds great in their music; big harmonies, catchy melodies, a driving rhythm section and lyrics that have meaning and great subject matter.

“Great show with lots of energy” – Alex Kapranos, Franz Ferdinand

“Certain elements of their performance if done by other acts would fall flat. The ability to go so close to the line and carry it off masterfully takes talent and courage, both of which Major Major have in spades.” – Rob Bozas, Real World Publishing

"One of the very few acts that you see that make you realize that there is huge talent in the UK. How long before these guys make that deserved step up? Watch this space..." - Neil Ashby, Independent Record Plugger
