Major Player is a Record Producer/Songwriter with his own unique style of music. With so many Producers in the Music Industry today, Major Player has crafted and mastered his own style of Music Production whether its Dirty South, East Coast, or West Coast.


Major Player was born, Sam Settles, in Little Rock, Arkansas where he started his music career. Recently, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to continue his musical journey. First of all, in 1985, he began rapping at the age of 17 while in a duo called, "V.I.C.E.". Then in 1988, they released their first 12' Single Entitled, "Radio" b/w "Gangsta Rock." Also, that same year Major Player wrote and produced, "JUST SAY NO," for the Arkansas Sheriffs Association. Then In 1990, Major Player started his own Independent Record Label, "MAC CITY RECORDS."


He later released an EP Entitled, "RAW," which lead them to open up for acts like the "GETO BOYS", "NELLY", "DJ JAZZY JEFF" and "THE FRESH PRINCE." Later that year, he also wrote and produced a Jingle for, "BOJANGLES," Chicken. In 1992, V.I.C.E released their first full-length album Titled, "My Way," which was sold in Mom and Pop stores and out the trunk of their cars. Finally in 1995, Major Player got behind the scenes and started producing and releasing artists from his own record label where he had National Distribution with Select-o-Hits and Southwest Wholesales. Since then, he has released 8 CD's and 1 Music Video.
