Bio
Makena Hartlin is a young singer and songwriter native to Chicago who immediately began performing her own original music after graduating high school in 2012. Within months, she was opening for national touring acts. Her original songs caught the ear of Grammy winning producer and engineer, Neil Kernon, (Hall & Oates, Linda Rondstat, Elton John), with whom she released a six song demo, including "Young and in Love". She continued to perform both locally in the Chicagoland area and regionally in the Midwest including renowned festivals such as Milwaukee Summerfest and Country Thunder. She is currently in the process of recording her first full length album, which will also be produced by Neil Kernon. It is expected to be released late 2016.
