Bio
makeshift letterbox (buffalo, ny)
is electronic/post-rock music performed by real people. tim grimaldi plays live drums, while jeff suszczynski plays two analog synths and sings (run through a bunch of effects processors). to fill soundgaps between songs and in quiet parts, old AM radios are mic’ed up and also run through effects. the result is a sound fuller than most ‘rock groups’, described best as “what would happen if a band had John Bonham on drums, Richard D. James on keyboards, and Robert Pollard singing through distortion.”
makeshift letterbox live is unpretentious and fun, unlike so many mystical and overly arty post-rock/electronic acts playing now.
thank you, don’t smear vaseline over lens.
