Bio
Maki Rinka started playing in 2003. She got a lot of influences from 60's American Musical movies and French movies and also an actresses like M.Monroe B.Bordot, or Anna Karina who played actively at that time. She started singing because she wanted to express her imaginative movie by music and singing.
She released 2 albums "Manechika" and " Cinematica" and her albums caught great support from record shops in Japan and recorded good sales.
In January 2005, She succeeded organizing her event "CABARET POPEROTICA" in the cabaret in Tokyo and Osaka, and in 2006 she succeeded singing in the Jazz swing dance event "Tokyo Swing" in the cabaret in Shinjuku, Kabuki-cho. She participated in the European tour of the band, Degurutieni, for the first time in September 2007.
In August, 2008, She released the coverd album "Maki Rinka sings BROADWAY".
She played in SXSW Music Festival 3 times, in 2008, 2009, and 2010 successfully.
And now she is keeping playing an active part globally.
Now she sings for many TV commercial songs like " Keihan mall" (she is a model for this commercial as well) , "Soup Harusame Song", " Biore Torokeru Liquid" and more.
Maki Rinka also sings in Japanese movie " Darling is a foreigner".
