It's not a gimmickMal's music embodies everyone, creating an "it's ok to be yourself" vibe. Struggle, motivation, & celebration, describes Mal's music. Lyrics, punch lines, metaphors are very vivid. Overall it's melting pot style (Midwest, South, East & West all in one)

Biography

As formulated songs and commercialism smother the Hip Hop craft, Oklahoma native Mal comes to the scene and breathes life into a dying art. He’s known for using intelligent metaphors and cunning punchlines while owning every beat he lays a verse on.

His newest single, FML, embodies the struggles of a hometown hero. Featuring and Produced by Classic, FML (Fighting for My Life) touches on issues from under-education and dysfunctional relationships to the coping mechanisms used to keep from throwing in the towel. Mal uses witty lyricism over an addictive track to describe a life that’s too familiar to those who struggle to make it in his hometown. Fans everywhere have been raving over the single as it tells a story that far too many people can relate to.

No beginner to the game, Mal is known for his popular mixtapes that have been released throughout the Midwest and South. His much-anticipated album 4th Quarter is scheduled for a December release.

Mal has performed in several venues in Atlanta, Austin, NYC, and his hometown Oklahoma City. He participated in the freestyle competition A3C Hip Hop Festival in 2011. He has a vast selection of passionate music that invokes thought and challenges the status quo while still keeping the club hot and speakers bumping.
