Malachi

BandPopSinger/Songwriter

A mix of acoustic, southern Rock and country with Christian and positive messages with a purpose of Malachi 4:6 of returning hearts to one another across generational boundaries but 1st returning hearts to our savior Jesus Christ.

Biography

Raised in a christian home but went astray from the faith and while in the navy I put together a country/southern rock band playing the nightclubs. After going through my 2nd marriage breaking up I became broken and accepted Jesus into my heart. The Lord used old band members that I thought I could get back together to form another band, to bring me into His kingdom. These 2 guys had given up playing in the bars and had started performing in church and invited me there and at the end of the service I went forward and repented of my sins. I have been looking for opportunities since to use music that the Lord gives me to reach others with the love of Jesus.

Lyrics

Entertaining angels

Written By: William Travis Harvey

Rich men hide in their castles, afraid to walk the streets at night. Their doors are locked with chains and shackles while homeless beg for a bite. As christians we should not fear, for God has his angels near, waiting for direction from above to test us in our faith and love. (chorus)To love the least is to love Him and we must show Him we care for we may be entertaining angels unaware(instrumental)
These days we love our own pleasures more than we love our God,to quick to spend for our fun while passing by a homeless son,for if we love ourselves too much how can we love another enough,we represent the great I am as disciples of the son of man (chorus) To love the least is to love Him and we must show Him we care for we may be entertaining angels unaware(instr.) (bridge)
If we love ourselves too much how can we love another enough
Chorus) We represent the great I am as disciples of the son of man. To love the least is to love Him and we must show Him we care for we may be entertaining angels unaware

I've been down that road before

Written By: William Travis Harvey

She looked at me with a distant smile, said she'd stay with me a while. I told her I'd been a lonely man. I just can't take another one night stand, cause I've been down that road before, it never goes where you want to go I've been down that road before, it leaves you feeling lonely searching for more walking out the door(inst.)
Jesus kooked at me and smiled said He understood my trials then He said He would never leave me so I received Him in my heart now satan won't deceive me
( chorus)
so just open up the door to your Jesus you gotta open up the door to your savior go on and open up the door to your Jesus you gotta open up the door to your savior go on and open up the door you gotta open up the door..............
Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction oh yea, small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, everlasting life

Set List

I try to discern by age group and by being attentive to the Holy spirit how to divide the songs.
If I am in a place where there is a wide range of ages in the audience I may do an acoustic song and then a Southern rock song and back and forth
or the Lord may lead me to start with the mellow acoustic songs and end with my album songs and or the soundtracks from other artists that I have such as 3rd day or Randy Travis I have enough songs to cover up to about 2 hrs. and 45 minutes without a break.
