About MALCOLM HAWKINS Malcolm is a 13 year old singer/songwriter who's lyrics are mature with subject matters that a youth minister would preach and most pastors would quote to reach the young. Malcolm's inspiration comes from The Holy Spirit which he received when he gave his life to Christ at an early age. His family and friends contribute to his creative juices which such songs as "Christian Crunk". Most of his peers admit that they don't have many artist that gives them the hip-hop beat with positive encouraging words. Malcolm shows his depth in songwriting when he wrote a song for his mom or about his mom who came to her wits-end when Malcolm gave her much grief with his growing pains, so he wrote the powerful ballad "Her tears gave me pain". Malcolm who already stands nearly six feet tall, also plays football on his local park team where he plays tight-end. Malcolm may have a future in football, but his music is his first love. He has twelve songs that will appear on his debut "CD" entitled "LIKE NO OTHER". Most of the songs Malcolm wrote the words and the melody, along with his 14 year old brother who contributed with such songs as "He (God) won't change" and does the rap on "Christian Crunk". The production of the music and the arrangements of the background vocals were done by their 19 year old friend Christopher Allen Jr. Malcolm and his team have a bright future in the gospel music seen. Malcolm will bring a fresh new sound that's beyond his years. This sound is called R&G or "Rhythm and Gospel" It is definately good news to know that God's word is true that "out of the mouth of babes is perfected praise. Bio

Malcolm Hawkins was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida, to proud parents Gernald and Vegina Hawkins. His love for music and performing was visible at a very tender age as he and his older brother were known for entertaining the family and giving live performances mimicking groups like The Temptations, The Five Heartbeats, and Frankie Lymon.

At age 10, Malcolm and his brother begin to write and sing their own music. With lyrics being penned by both, it was Malcolm’s savvy vocals that startled the ears of many.

2010 became the "Year of Opportunity" for Malcolm's career. In February 2010, Malcolm shared the stage with PaJam's Records, "2103", in Orlando,Florida. In July 2010, Malcolm was welcomed by a crowd of thousands at Tom Joyner's Family Reunion held in Orlando, Florida, where he shared the stage with gospel greats; Vicki Winans, Tye Tribett, Byron Cage, and "Sunday's Best", Leandria Johnson. In October 2010, Malcolm showed his vocal ability as an opening act for the incomparable, Kirk Franklin, at Florida A & M University's Homecoming GospelFest.

Malcolm has performed at numerous church and local events, and was honored to perform as the new artist spotlight for Emtro Records’ Troy Sneed in his promotional concert release of his CD, "In Due Season", held in South Florida.

Malcolm attributes his love for music with his family upbringing and his love for God. His favorite scripture is Psalms 23:4, “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me.thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Malcolm’s dream is to be able to spread love to the world through song and enlighten the lives of young and old, nation-wide.

Malcolm has two siblings, Gernald, Jr., and Kyndal.
