Maleco Collective is the brain child of critically-acclaimed Mexican Hip-Hop artist Malverde and multiple Latin-Grammy nominated Indie/Pop writer/producer Marthin Chan. Their aim was to create something that organically blended their two worlds fusing Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae and Electro. What started as experimental studio sessions quickly resulted in a "Eco-Friendly" project that transcends musical and cultural boundaries. With their dynamic live shows the Echo Park based band has been steadily building buzz.
In their short run thus far, Maleco Collective's accomplishments include being featured in the Hennessey Artistry campaign, Latina Magazine's annual "Best Music You Haven't Heard" list, global tastemaker KCRW's "Today's Top Tune," nationally syndicated TV show AmericanLatino's "Favorite AmericanLatino Artist" nomination, showcasing at the prestigious Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), MTV3 Descubre & Download Song & Video "Serenata Para Ti" and their track "Yo Soy La Voz" being featured on Fox's primetime show "Lie To Me." The digital release of Maleco Collective's 7 song "Al Horizonte EP" serves as a taste of their full length album in the works.
