Malefic Past at Hard Rock Cafe this Friday
BoD's International hostel goers will be heading to the Hard Rock Cafe this Friday, March 19th to see Malefic Past perform.

With the exception of their front man, who is from Portsmouth, England, this band hails from Ontario's own NewMarket. They have been gaining a lot of attention since dropping their debut album and are definitely worth checking out. - Backpackers on Dundas

Bio

What do you get when you throw together a front man from Portsmouth England, two guitarists, bass player and drummer from Newmarket Ontario? You get a ripping sound that combines heavy driving rhythms with melodic undertones that dares anyone to try and stay still while they listen, and they call themselves Malefic Past!
With their debut album fresh off the press these guys have been turning heads and getting people moving at every show they have played. Give them a listen and you will quickly understand why they have so many people talking and why Malefic Past is destined to be a sonic force with which to be reckoned.
There is something about Malefic Past’s style that although heavily soaked with deep distorted guitar tone and thunderous double kick phrases, not to mention front man Justin Butler’s aggressive vocal illustrations that make you feel good and want to move, but don’t let that fool you. With some very serious subject matter such as abuse and suicide being addressed, the messages behind the music are not to be taken lightly. Their EP For The Fallen was named in light of two tracks from the album. Man Down written shortly after the tragic and untimely passing of Dimebag Darrell Abbott, whom all the members of Malefic Past respect and admire. As well as Kelly’s Song, written in loving memory of Justin’s niece, Kelly Marie McLaughlin who passed as a result of a car accident during the albums writing process.
