Malik Rose is an out-of-the box conscious rapper, whose sound is reminiscent of his musical influences: J Cole, Nas, and Kanye West. In October of 2017, the independent lyricist released his debut project "Detox." The mixtape is versatile with it's collaboration of classic Hip-Hop and contemporary rap. He’s a storyteller, pushing positive messages through his bars paired with witty hard hitting metaphors! Since his music debut in 2016, Malik Rose continues to bring the heat with his conscious rhymes. Not only is he lyrically talented, but his love and passion for the art speaks volumes. Though Malik Rose hails from New Orleans, Louisiana, he's traveled all over the world. He moved to Japan in 2015, and it allowed him to focus more on the music. His latest music video for his debut single "False Profit", a sample of J. Cole's "False Prophets", was shot in Okinawa, Japan. The video has already garnered over 12,000 views on YouTube.
