Jamal "Mally-Mal" Long started out in music ever since her was 12 years old. He started off singing just for the fun of it, then he gradually started writing poems and rapping for fun in front of his friends. In high school, he joined his high school marching band, where he played percusssion for 3 years. "I love music to death! It's a great way for me to relieve all my stress and my emotions. I'm so used to hearing all this commerical rapping in the industry, but i'm not like that. I try to be as orginal as possible.", says Mally-Mal. He's currently going to attending Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he's going to further persue his dream with a major in Music.
