Brash, belligerent she-creature, Mama. After success with her previous electro band Mama shamone from London, working with Martin Rushent (Human League, The Buzzcocks) and a top 20 UK hit, Mama decided to move to Berlin to explore a new direction as a solo artist, writing and producing all her own material. But It's live that Mama will really blow you away. Have a visual slurp of her provocative body and brace yourself, you might just end up with her microphone down your throat whilst you beg for one more song. Mama is kicking up a storm with her unique live show with support from her sexy robotic Kraftwerk-esque girls on synths and keyboard.
Mama creates a special style of experimental, electronic soul. She sings real songs about sex, obsession and depravity. You'll find them all in Mama’s irresistibly catchy hooks. Mama has launched her raw bedroom-produced musical antics to stages from Berlin Templehof Airport (One of the largest buildings on earth), Fabric (London) to WMF(Berlin) along side the almighty Miss Kitten.
Mama also co-hosts a club in London/Berlin with the baddest bass junkie DJ Hannah Holland (Trailer Trash/Bugged out) and Mc Chickaboo, UK’s number one female MC. It’s the party you always suspected was better than the one you were at has a name: Batty Bass. On a regular night you may find babies flying across the room, a mix of style and freaks of all colours bouncing off the walls to the fierce Batty Bass House and Techno of Hannah Holland and the live action of Mama, MC Chickaboo and a bevy of frenzied guests.
