Mama Cat

Mama cat is a rock quartet composed of Matt Speno, Matt Keppler, Wes Billyard, and Caleb Davis. Three of the four where first introduced to each other at SUNY Purchase in isolated Jam sessions with Matt Speno. Once Matt had assembled a group he felt could carry a solid show they then played a few gigs around campus gaining a modest fan base. Once it came to time to record an EP for the band Matt called in one of his best friends from back home in Fairfield, CT, Wes Billyard, to lay down guitar parts for the record. That is the line up to date and has made Mama Cat a musical power house with their eclectic style of rock that incorporates many other genres including funk, dub, and folk. Their music is very reminiscent of Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, and Phish and surely are guaranteed to deliver in each and every performance.
