Mama'Sol is Whitney Moore- a soulful and versatile vocalist specializing in world beat music and jazz. She has wandered the world playing everything from street corners to sold out music festivals. Her new album combines latin rhythms and jazz harmonies with her angelic voice weaving throughout.

Mama'Sol is a collection of eclectic musicians from around the globe, fronted by Whitney Moore. Whitney is a soulful and versatile vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist raised in a family of professional musicians. Since taking off on her own, she's headlined sold-out music festivals and sung on street corners, with a love for music and performance that makes every show a magical experience.

Whitney’s love for travel and pursuit of fresh sounds has taken her to stages around the globe. She has crooned celtic ballads in Spain’s “Fontana de Oro,” played the 4th of July Festival in Vallejo, California with her jazz trio, belted out the blues in resorts across the Caribbean, led swinging dances with her 12-piece salsa band in the mountains of North Carolina, and even performed an off-the-cuff scat serenade to an audience of monks in Cambodia. Most recently she spent two years in Mexico studying latin music and recording an album of Latin folk music now available on iTunes- "Historia de un Amor".

Her travels have inspired the original compositions of Mama'Sol, which combine a unique mix of Latin rhythms, blues/funk, reggae, and gypsy swing. A fluent Spanish-speaker (and singer!), she seeks to unite the diverse crowds she attracts through the universal language of music. Whitney can currently be found touring in Mexico, the USA, and Canada. Her new all original album, “Rhythm of a Movement” is due for release in fall 2010.
