Mama Winslow is the live musical persona created by community college music professor Mike B. Mike has been writing and recording a list of pop/jazz/funk songs that blend his classical/jazz education, with the R&B/funk/Beatles music he has grown up listening to. All of this is brought to life via electric piano, bass, guitar, drums, sax, trumpet and vocals.
As a band, we strive to be like Dave Matthews, Steely Dan, The Roots, Ben Folds Five, and the fusion jazz groups of the 70's and 80's.
We are a TIGHT ensemble and LOVE playing live together..what sets us apart though? We do this thing right every single night.
